English Medium Co-Educational School
Our school, situated in Gariaband town of District Gariaband in Chhattisgarh, is one of the oldest English-medium co-educational institutions in the region. Starting in 2004 with a modest strength of about 100 students in a remote tribal belt, we have come a long way since then.
The vision of establishing an educational institution in a small town with limited resources and population was a bold step by our founder, Mr. Stafford Burns, who has served as the Principal and guiding force since the school's inception. We also acknowledge our patron Mr. Uday Raj Singh Chauhan for his unwavering support during the establishment of Angels Anglo High School. We remain deeply grateful to him.
(01 April 2024 – 31 March 2025)
The 20th Academic Session of Angels Anglo High School began smoothly on 1st April 2024 following the declaration of the Annual Examination 2024 results on 31st March 2025. A total of 603 students appeared for the annual examination, of which 24 students appeared for the CG Govt. High School Certificate Examination and 11 students for the CG Govt. Higher Secondary Certificate Examination held in March 2025.
The session 2024–25 witnessed a mix of challenges and progress. A major development was the State Government’s decision to introduce Board Examinations for Classes V and VIII. The decision, announced late, faced considerable opposition from the Private Schools Association. However, the intervention of the High Court settled the matter conclusively for the academic year.
The First Terminal Examination was conducted from 6th October to 17th October 2025, followed by a refreshing break that energized students for upcoming activities.
As the Principal of the Institution, I regularly motivate the teachers to encourage the students to partake in as many extracurricular activities as possible. These activities not only develop the spirit of competition amongst students but also distract them from continuous academics.
I also lay emphasis on training of both the body and mind, hence we regularly conduct "Continuous Cognitive Comprehension Tests" which are a huge help for the students, I would lastly add that we look forward to embark on an interesting journey with all who wish to make the life of their kids fruitful and worthwhile in the future.
